  What a surprise !!  thank you Christy  Turned on my pc and find this "beautiful " layout   I love it ! Thank you soooo much.     I've not been feeling all that good ,no energy ...been reading all my friends...Cheryl your posts have really been great   and much needed  I have written long comments on your site but they keep disappearing on me....some on Allen 's and Mike 's also  they don't submit  either always.. I did start to post one on my site just on your post on addictions, but had to leave and it too got deleted   ,maybe when my son got on later I dent know    He plays Pogo ......But this series on Addiction really needs to be addressed .It touches everyone of us in one way or another,,And we are all responsible as to how we respond to the problem...We need to realize part of the problem is satan attacks our young.who don't have the knowledge too often in how to handle it, and not taught moral and ethical values in a way that they choose yo be good ,rather than just told to be good..And brought up from young knowing God loves them ,and He will help us be good That we can not fight the devil attacks in our own power,we need to pray for the Holy  Spirit power for victory  Too many adults today,parents cant pass this on because they don't know.how to cope either Also when the Addict goes to get help thru AA or to church or to family   We don't know how to respond of our own fears and doubts.We really don't know anything about  the addicts problems  only the crimes they commit      WE need to learn how to help those who are in recovery to be free from it, and how to help them caught up in its vicious circle of pain,relief,degradation,pain of what they've become,to addictive relief to more evilness and no relief  to realize there is hope and to get help ,And hopefully our parents and teachers and churches will help our young people by classes in moral and ethical values ,and basic Bible truths........Cheryl you are doing a superb job   I pray everyone will read your posts on this important subject   .   love and God Bless

There is a book called  "CHARACTER CRAFT,per,se " A SOURCE BOOK IN MORAL EDUCATION"  By Bernard Ingram Rasmussen      written  in 1979          its still available in amazon  I looked it up in Google   

The aim of this book is:

"To provide a workable system of Moral Education that is usable by Parents and Teachers and that will help the child progress from the condition of having to be good to  the Status of Wanting to Be Good "     Pretty good for us adults too as we evaluate our priorities and spiritual growth thru the exercises and discussions   Last I looked it only costs $9.98  for hard cover,163 pgs...     Well will close for now  Thank you again Cheryl     Have a happy weekend      love and hugs leona

Thank you Christy for the background ,I love the picture . Last year we all went thru some rough experiences as a family...Satan attacked us from all angles , and we all were showed some weak areas in our lives and some serious flaws But praise God  He saw us thru them and we now we recognize them and when they pop up on us ,they can no longer overwhelm us,. We run in prayer to our Father and receive His strength to overcome,and we are growing......We have each other to remind and encourage one another And we were blessed with so many happy and grateful outcomes of serious health and personal problems.So many of our deepest prayers saw fruit.. What a Wonderful and forgiving Father we have, We are all so undeserving ,Sometimes we as Christians take too  much for granted ,and our daily prayers become mechanical given with out thinking about what we are asking and to Whom we are addressing   I know I have been guilty of this  many times and thankful been made aware of this. That all asking of Gods blessings is an undeserved privilege ,and what a privilege!! from the Creator and  Sustainer of each of us and the whole universe !

Well lets see, Vanida  came thru.They found the right bug and she was finally released And now needs to take it easy..get rest and get her strength back ,before she tackles all the load she was carrying   We are so thankful she is still with us......We are all kinda resting up from all the busyness of the last few months I think :}    Now its on to a new year  all brand new, the past has been put to rest,its lessons secured in Christ, and it's now onward and upward  on to new paths and adventures in our walk with the Lord as we follow where He leads as we learn more and more about Jesus and what He expects of us in the scheme of things to help bring all Our Heavenly family  members ,worldwide together in love and care and homeward bound and out of the bondage of satan and his fallen kingdom on earth           love to all stay strong in the faith , trust and obey    pray for one another   I'm praying for you ,please pray for me      This is a new year may it be our best in the Lord     love    leona

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007

We had a really nice New Years Eve .Family and friends came here. We had homemade cheese buns filled with barbecued chicken strips, various crackers ,beef sausage,pepper jack cheese,chips and dips.vegetable tray with tomatoes,cukes,broccoli,carrot strips etc with 2 kinds of dressings, and a hearty vegetable stew for those who wanted a little more than snacks , there was pop, and apple juice , coffee,  tea, apples oranges and canned  mixed nuts or crack your own mixed nuts ....so plenty of food for us all 

We missed some of family   We have had some heavy praying past few weeks My Daughter Vanida suddenly came down with a crucial case of "overwhelming pneumonia"  None of us had ever heard of it before And it was rough...The local hospital diagnosed what was wrong finally ,but they couldn't pinpoint the virus or bacteria to apply the antidote...and one type was hard to cure and could rapidly be fatal so they sent her to a prominent hospital .which has a very good lung program  they sedated her heavily. put her on a forced breathing ventilator and ran tests and applied medication   finally on the 22nd they began to see some improvement and on New years eve day  they took the ventilator out and she was able to breathe on her own with oxygen tank and she was moved out of ICU and was in room near the nurses station  Set free her daughter and her brother and his wife and niece and best friend all were in and out ,so some were always in the room with her tho she was so sedated she didn't know, but they kept rest of us informed , She was then sent to a veterans hospital and today ,she is still on oxygen still hallucinating some and not always recognizing people, and confused and afraid  was fighting the tubes and nurses some   ,she is still on medication that causes the hallucinating ,they are going to give her meds to contract it and she should be able to come home shortly  for that we are thankful       But it was scary there for awhile all could do was leave it in Gods hands and know what ever the outcome was best but We pray she will be healed.. and praise our Loving  Father she will still be with us and we are so thankful and for all the prayers given by our churches ,family and friends...we thank you t

My husband Bob is in a nursing home  His legs are swollen up really bad and their are blisters on one of his legs But when we called him New years eve a little after midnite he was in good spirits watching the New year in Las Vegas on TV and we all got to exchange New Years Blessings on each other   He was laughing and happy too.

We renewed an old tradition we once had this year   Writing out resolutions for the new year, reading them aloud. We put them in a special box to be opened next new years eve and see how we did....it was fun  what was the best blessing you received    we didn't write it ,just told it  We also played games  One was a stacking game of "CHAIRS"  There are 24 little plastic chairs in 4 colors and 6 different shapes. divide them and each person tries in turn to stack them on top of one chair none but the original chair may touch the table   it is a fun game  the kids liked that game too   and some played dominos We reminisced about past end of the year gathering And at midnite  we all went outside to see some fabulous fireworks that were bought Ones that shot straight up and burst into stars and made lots of noise  [not sure how legal but we saw few other neighbors doing same thing and no problems and the kids loved it       Wuvwuvja took pictures hope she posts some  it was also my daughter-in laws birthday   

Praying that all you here in our little {oops did I say "little". Lol ?? Hardly !} world of Xanga will be especially blessed in 2007 with good health  {eat right and exercise :}  peace of mind in trusting in Him and knowing the whole world is still in His hands He is in control , Lots of laughter and rejoicing as we serve and obey our Most Wonderful  Saviour and King .Our All Everything in all His Names God, Our Creator and Sustainer and Restorer  May Love color all our dealing  In 2007

       We had a great Christmas with family.with Christmas music,wide-eyed ,overwhelmed children with toy ponies,dolls,cars dress ups books,games, clothes blocks and playdoh etc etc  an etc.  stockings stuffed with all kinds grown ups doing some ooohing and awwing too...wuvwuvja got some pictures in not as many as she wanted Our best present we all agree was the nursing home letting Bob come home for 3 hours plus 1 hour transportation to and fro ..He is still fragile and needs medication monitored and liquid intake changed  thru out the day and night'.His spirits were good and he joked and laughed and gave the prayer as is the tradition of our family in all of our big get togethers as a family and as always ,it really touched hearts.He wasn't feeling too good and breathing was hard and ready to go back in3 hrs. Its hard for me to see him like this....I was afraid I would start crying or something and spoil it, so I kept the old games going...our string game and our penny toss And that kept the kids having fun and me staying positive.  The dinner was a masterpiece Angela .Alden and all the ladies out did themselves   too many items to list and all from scratch except the candy canes    and cranberry sauce  They made roast turkey, creamed carrots, candied yams, raw vegetable tray with dip,diced cheese in a delicious herbed marinade,potato salad, gravy, home made bread and rolls, mashed potatoes and rice  (my husband was born and raised in Hawaii, and there they eat rice like we eat potatoes,so our kids were raised with rice mostly but potato too...so we serve both and its take your pick or go double  :}      Plus Home made fudge, buttermints.4 different cookies recipes and all shapes and flavors, There was pumpkin pie,chocolate cream pie all delicious and sugar free even the whipped cream but you couldn't taste the difference it was that good   Plus apples,oranges nuts and some canned mixed nuts also     looks like I listed after all  We laughed a lot Reminisced over past Christmases and filled out our traditional Christmas Questions  which always is everyones favorite holiday tradition We save them from year to year Next year we will gather all the questions and answers for the year and print out copies for each family and pass them out on Ne w Years    It looks like this has been a good Christmas for most all of us   as we rejoiced with family and friends and remembering Greatest Gift of All Our Precious Saviour King And Best Friend JESUS and Our Father  and Our Protector and Guide And The Holy Spirit Power      The tree is down the decorations and stockings put away for another year  But may the Spirit of Christmas The true meaning The  Gift of Forgiveness in the Person of Jesus On the Cross while we were still enemies ,remain in our hearts thru the new year And follow His command "To love one another"-"To forgive those who harm you"    Do not judge their sins, that is Gods job  Even when we must sometimes put a member out of the membership,we are to still love ,pray that he will come back to the fold and encourage each  other Forgiveness was the gift of the cross And love for  all mankind   Let us by submission to God's will and Thankful heart and power of the Holy Spirit make Christmas last everyday   with joy and rejoicing telling His Good news in the right Spirit    God gives us gifts evert day    we can try      Love, Forgiveness ,and Gifts   Thats the Christmas way           blessing to you     love from     leona
